What's the Name Project?
A fun project that highlights Deviant Art members' handwriting and features some of their art!
I found out about this project today and I thought it was a very interesting way to find out amazing artists - as well as the unique ways everybody signs their username/artist name.
I've always been fascinated by people's signatures and how they seem as unique as their fingerprints - my "real life" signature is just a bunch of swirls and scribbles that makes no sense... obviously I still don't get it. Or maybe it reflect my messy nature? Who knows.
I figured I'd give the project a small feature of my own - which also conveniently
gives me two art features in the project if my application is taken. Magic!
So this is a shout out to my watchers and friends here on DA - whoever is still actually watching my very, err, "quiet" gallery - give this project a try! It'll only take a few moments
I'll be giving a feature of my own to anyone participating in this project, as long as they link me to their signature and one art piece they wish to feature. I'll pick a second art piece in their gallery myself to feature here in my next journal.
That's pretty much it. See you next time!
The Name Project - Features Batch 1
Handwriting for features - Batch 2 (15/20or30)
Update 2 - First batch of name and features are up. Working on the second batch now.
Update - The first batch of names and features, I'll put up after I get 50 names. After that, it'll be rounds of every 20 to 50 name.
Keep spreading the word. Thank you!
:iconteatori: and I were talking last night on his join-me about handwriting. I thought it'd be interesting to see everyone's handwriting in one place, so I'll be making a compilation.
This will be a rolling project until further notice.
I will feature one piece of your choice from your gallery if you do the following:
1 - Write your DA username in black on a white canvas and link it here. If you do it on paper, please do it in black marker or black ink (pen, brush, I don't care), and try to take a good, clean photograph of it. Otherwise, I'd prefer tablet-written if it's computer.
2 - Link it here in this journal along with the picture from your gallery that you want featured.
